Another guitar today, that one from Fender that makes bigger its signature line with a model designed with Gilmour (and his guitar tech) and based on the Black Strat that the Pink Floyd guitar player has been using from 1970 and that appears in most of his albums. The Fender David Gilmour Signature Stratocaster Guitar is a heavily modified model that is available in 2 versions, the NOS and the Relic (the only difference is the aged finish).

The Fender David Gimour Signature Stratocaster Guitar features alder contoured body, 1-piece maple neck, thin-shouldered C neck profile, maple fingerboard, 21 frets, 25.5″ scale length, American Vintage Tremolo bridge, 2 Custom Shop single-coil (Fat ‘50 on the neck and ‘69 on the middle) and Seymour Duncan SSL-5 single-coil

pickups, 5-way pickup switch (with a mini-toggle that adds the neck pickup when using the bridge or the middle pickups, or both at the same time).

Gilmour fans will be happy, but die-hard fans will be anxious to have in his hands the relic model that looks precisely like the original one. Accessories include Deluxe Black hardshell case, Evidence audio cable, custom leather strap, GHS DG Boomers strings, DG picks, 3-disc and DVD Live In Gdansk album, Phil Taylor’s book The Black Strat (the first 500 units will be autographed) and certificate of authenticity. The Fender David Gimour Signature Stratocaster Guitar will be available on September 22 but the price of these models have not been announced yet.
